Been out running today.. yes I risked it with my plantar fasciitis which I know I should do.. well I know that now because when I went out and came back my feet feel like they are going to drop off so bad....... am I a idiot or what. I just got so bored of being stuck in all the time... guess I will be stuck in for a fair while longer now thanks to my stupidity.
Maybe it is my own fault why my back hurts.. or maybe it is my stupid bosses fault for giving us stupid chairs to sit in all day though I do have such bad posture... and I need to really start doing something about it soon before I permanently damage it (and that can really happen ya know) I have a friend in the same boat as me who also suffering form a bad back and poorly feet it is as though we are twins and when one of us gets injured the other one conveniently gets the same injury by walking into a lamp post. My job means I have to be hunched over a computer screen typing away for hours on end.... so what can I do I am a little bit stuck here..... will my boss mind if half way doing some work I get up roll out a yoga mat and start doing yoga and Pilates? After all I wont be much use if I am crippled.. or even just complaining every second about my aching back. Then again who really is bothered about your health when you got a job to do and your being paid and there are plenty more slaves to take your place? My back pain is mostly in my lower back I think because the way I sit causes my hips to become tilted which tilts the spin and that must be causing the problems.. it so easy to not sit up straight when your on computer and because doing work.. very boring work its almost a reflex to slouch....... what can I do guys? I heard that you can buy tablets that can do pretty much everything a computer can do.. I might ask my boss if I can get one of those and work standing up.. or if not Il see if my boss will let me work standing up and raising the computer screen so I can see it standing up.. that's precisely what my friend I was telling you about who is like my twin but isnt has thought about doing to sort out there back pain. Im going to also look into wearing some back supports too see if they might improve my posture at all.
If you haven't already guessed from my last two posts I am suffering pf. Well I am a bit tired of my plantar fasciitis and to be honest I am quite sick of talking about it.......so in this post I am not going to be talking about it... going to talk about something else.... diet.
Diet is pretty important in many aspects from living longer to helping you feel more awake.. it is even said that a good balanced diet can actually help you grow taller.. but I dont know how much this has to do with diet and genetics.. I think that if you diet is poor and malnutrition then you will never reach the height that your genes can give you. But eating a healthy balanced diet is expensive and it is often quite easy to opt for quick cheap meals instead..... oh no. And I often do this as I dont really have much time on my hands.. but I think from now on I will be trying to break this habit and eat more healthily... well if I can afford it. Rich people can... rich people it is as though they deserve to live healthy lives and for longer, capitalism means that the rich can delegate to the masses who will work for minimum wage.. have lots of stress and lots of hours whilst the rich eat the best foods (non of the processed garbage) relax and be healthy... although I guess you could look at it as though the rich will be always greedy and over eat and what not....... I really dont like capitalism. Not sure where exactly I am going with all of this... gone off on a bit of a tangent.. lol! So what I am going to have to do to help heal and recover my plantar fasciitis is this... BUY INSOLES! I have been talking to a friend who reckons that buying some insoles should help me not get any more problems with my feet... he blabs on about how they will help shift pressure off the arch and the gel should spread it better so it doesn't cause damage when I run... which all make sense. I guess anything is better and more comfortable than the shoes I am wearing at the moment anyway and it is probably thanks to these darn shoes which have pushed my feet into awkward positions and not helped at all adding to the problem. I might get Shock absorbing insoles as these are meant to and should stop the thuds and shocks when runnign which really does effect me and annoy me when I run. I will let you know what ones I buy and if they work... Im not gonna buy custom ones depsite what my mate said too expensive for me and not investing in them just try them Il see what normal ones are like first.
Well I guess that is what you get for trying to be healthy. As you see I went out with my mates earlier this week out running you know to try and loose a few pounds for summer... But what I ended up with afterwards was my feet were SUPER sore and I mean SUPER. One of my other friends got it too which was amusing and a coincidence the day after when he went jogging on his own hmm seems to much of a coincidence that he got PF too maybe he is just making it up . I went to see a podiatrist who has said I have plantar fasciitis... whats more is that one of my friends a week earlier got this and we all laughed at him... we though he just made up the condition himself and he was being a wimp.. but I guess not and I have got my comeuppance. But dont let this put you off running... I was just stupid I wore some rubbish shoes which didn't have much of a insole in them so every time I ran my feet would smack on the ground which aint good further more I have a lazy running technique and over pronate when I run add the fact that I am flat footed there really is no surprise that I have got plantar fasciitis come to think of it. I guess the upside of all of this is that I get to lazy around the house and sit down all the time whilst it heals itself but already that's getting pretty boring just stuck in the house all the time.
My plan is when I get back on my feet (only when I am 100% sure that im ready to go) I will be making sure I buy brand new runnign shoes with arch support. Me being flat footed means my feet are badly designed for running and my plantar fascia takes less strain and pressure than everyone else before it becomes inflamed (i think thats the word people use) and sore...... so I need the extra support you see. Iv seen a guy, a podiatrist who knows his stuff who says I should try some stretches to make it more flexible and un tighten my plantar fascia before I go out running which I think I might give a shot! |
